Tenure-track position in Sociocultural Anthropology at the University of Regina

The Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position in sociocultural anthropology at the rank of lecturer or assistant professor.  Anticipated date of commencement is 1 July 2008.
The successful candidate will be committed to cross-cultural, socially grounded ethnographic research in a setting outside North America, be well grounded in classical and contemporary theory, and be able to teach diverse subjects in sociocultural anthropology.
Excellence in research and publication, as well as the ability to complement the Department’s current expertise in theory, the anthropology of language, and social organization, will be assets.  Enquiries about the Department may be addressed to the Head, Dr Marcia Calkowski, tel. 306.585.4770,
