Postdocs Irish Research Council

The Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences (IRCHSS) just launched its Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme. *The Fellowships** are valued at up to €31,745 per annum* and are awarded for either one or two years.

This Scheme will offer research opportunities for scholars who may wish to affiliate with a recognised Irish higher education institution to pursue research and a) who have been awarded their doctoral degree within the five-year period before 31 December 2008, or; b) who, by 31 December 2008, have been certified as having fulfilled *all *the requirements for the award of a doctoral degree, including a viva, where such is required. We are inviting scholars with an interest in* *labour-related issues the area of *labour relations, political and economic sociology, public policy, *or *political science *to submit us their CV and a short statement which outlines the topic, research methodology and the theoretical framework of their potential IRCHSS post-doc proposal.
